BRITISH TRANSPORT POLICE

I’m currently part of a specialist project team at British Transport Police, helping to transform recruit training into a modern, flexible blended learning programme. This initiative supports greater accessibility and diversity within the force by shifting from a traditional in-person model to one that fully embraces digital learning technologies.

My contributions to the project so far include:

  • Shaping the high-level programme design

  • Defining brand pillars and crafting the brand story

  • Developing the logo and visual style guide

  • Creating flexible toolkits and co-branded assets, including content templates to ensure visual consistency across teams while giving the programme its own distinct identity

Working closely with learning designers, videographers, editors, and subject matter experts, I’m supporting with the development of engaging, accessible content for a new curriculum that combines formal training with on-the-job learning. Once complete, the programme is expected to contain over 300 digital learning assets and reach around 300 recruits annually - with content spanning from interactive modules and slide decks to assessments and storyboards.

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, I’m unable to share detailed visuals publicly. However, examples can be shown on request.

LOTUS CARS

QR CODE PROJECT

EMEYA EVOLVED

In May 2024, the Global Retail Academy held a one-day immersion session at the Lotus Head Office in Amsterdam, titled ‘Emeya Evolved’. This session aimed to prepare the European and UK retail network for upcoming Lotus Emeya test drives and handovers.

During a 90-minute workshop called ‘Emeya In-Depth’, I created, hosted, and delivered 32 custom QR codes to learners’ devices. These QR codes were placed on strips located inside and outside the Emeya and Eletre, allowing participants to conduct an immersive walk-around and familiarise themselves with both models, exploring their similarities and differences. Some QR codes prompted tasks such as opening the tailgate or adjusting the sound profile, simulating customer interactions.

All digital assets were available in English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian.

ELEARNING

Following the Emeya Evolved event, I was tasked with reworking the digital QR code assets into an interactive eLearning module. This course mirrors the workshop structure, using hotspots on the Emeya and Eletre interiors and exteriors to highlight model similarities and differences. It serves as a reference for attendees and is useful for those who were unable to attend the in-person training.

EMEYA SINGLE LINE OF DESIGN

ELEARNING

Developed as part of the Retail Academy Product Training, this eLearning module enables learners to understand how Lotus’s signature ‘Single Line of Design’ and its ‘Porosity’ principle have influenced the styling of the new Lotus Emeya. This knowledge empowers them to effectively communicate these design elements during conversations with potential customers.

The module includes an interactive feature where learners can navigate through the Lotus Product Portfolio, tracing the evolution of the single line design from the Lotus 30 to current models. This journey highlights how the design principle has been consistently incorporated across the years.

Additionally, the course incorporates animation, video, and interactive elements, creating a truly dynamic and engaging bitesize learning experience for our retail network.

RETAIL ACADEMY OVERVIEW 2024

BROCHURE

Since joining Lotus in December 2023, I have been responsible for developing the Retail Academy Overview Brochure. This comprehensive document has been created to support the Lotus Retail Network with navigating our digital content platform and provides an overview of all our training programmes and content which is accessible to learners within their role at Lotus.

The brochure is divided into sections which correspond to our areas of training: Commercial, Brand, Product, Technical, and Systems and Processes. Each section includes an introduction to the training programme from the Programme Manager, and an overview of the learning plans within each programme, with one page/spread being dedicated to each piece of content.

This ongoing project has involved regular collaboration with the Content Owners and Programme Managers to update and revise content. New versions of the brochure have been published periodically throughout the year, ensuring the network has remained fully up-to-date with new content releases and training offerings.

HI, I’M SOPHIE!

I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and Illustration from UAL, and have hands-on experience in graphic design, visual storytelling, and brand consistency across both public and private sectors - including British Transport Police and Lotus Cars. I bring a sharp eye for detail and a passion for crafting high quality, on-brand assets that connect and resonate with audiences across multiple touchpoints.

I am confident working across both print and digital channels with expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro), PowerPoint and Keynote - as well as Articulate Storyline and Rise 360 for developing digital learning content. I adapt quickly to new tools and workflows and have experience preparing artwork for both large and small format print. I’m also experienced in accessibility-optimised and multilingual content, with a strong understanding of inclusive design principles around tone, imagery, and layout.

I enjoy experimenting with new software, exploring its capabilities, and am consistently pushing myself to discover new approaches, technologies, and ways of working. My passion for psychology informs a user-centred approach, ensuring every brief is met with the end user’s requirements in mind.

I thrive in fast-paced environments where attention to detail, consistency, and teamwork are key to delivering high-quality creative work. Driven by accuracy and a respect for brand integrity, I am a dependable designer who builds trust through clear, transparent communication and consistently high standards.
